Campus Issues Series Technology Training Series Using Computers/Office Series Curriculum-Instruction-Assessment Series

The Technology Training Series basically answers the question:
"How can I get that on the web?"

Topics include scanning documents, basic and intermediate photo editing, video screen captures to make tutorials, HTML and Dreamweaver to make web pages, intro to Flash, and burning media to CDs.
The series is presented by R. Craig Collins, in WTC room 522 or 502.

Often followed by an "open lab" and Q&A time where anyone can come by to get help with computer and software issues, or curriculum issues.
The Using Computers/Office Series will answer the question:
"How can I use my software to do that?"

Topics will include Microsoft Office PowerPoint,
Microsoft Office Word I (formatting and templates), Word II (teacher tips, research papers and pdf),
Microsoft Office Excel intro, and other Office tools.
The series is presented by R. Craig Collins, normally in WTC room 522.

Often followed by an "open lab" and Q&A time where anyone can come by to get help with computer and software issues, or curriculum issues. 
The Campus Issues Series basically answers the question:
"Who can help me with that?"

Topics may include copyright, plagiarism, ADA, smart classroom, the handbook, campus organizations, etc.

The series will be presented by the experts on campus; the schedule is not regular, so sessions will be at different times, in different locations.

The Curriculum-Instruction-Assessment Series basically answers:
"How can subject matter experts become better teachers?"

Topics will include writing objectives, creating assessments, questioning techniques, etc.
The series is presented by R. Craig Collins, in WTC room 522.

Often followed by an "open lab" and Q&A time where anyone can come by to get help with computer and software issues, or curriculum issues. .

The D2L series, is for people wishing to learn more about Desire2Learn (D2L).
The series is presented by Mark Smith and/or Brian St. Amour, normally on Friday in WTC training room, room 575, or WTC 522.
