The Technology training series basically answers the question: "How can I get that on the web?"
Topics include scanning documents, basic and intermediate photo editing, video screen captures to make tutorials, HTML and Dreamweaver to make web pages, intro to Flash, and burning media to CDs.
The series is presented by R. Craig Collins, normally every other Thursday from 2:00-3:15 in WTC room 522 or 502.
Afterward there is an "open lab" and Q&A time until 4:00 where anyone can come by to get help with computer and software issues, or curriculum issues.
The Campus issues series basically answers the question: "Who can help me with that?"
Topics may include copyright, plagiarism, ADA, smart classroom, the handbook, campus organizations, etc.
The series will be presented by the experts on campus; the schedule is not regular, so sessions will be at different times, in different locations. E-mail R.

The Using Computers/Office Series will answer the question: "How can I use my software to do that?"
Topics will include Microsoft Office PowerPoint,
Microsoft Office Word I (formatting and templates), Word II (research papers and pdf),
Microsoft Office Excel intro, and
Microsoft Office Microsoft Access intro.
The series is presented by R. Craig Collins, normally monthly on Thursday from 2:00-3:15 in WTC room 522 or 502.
Afterward there is an "open lab" and Q&A time until 4:00 where anyone can come by to get help with computer and software issues, or curriculum issues.
If there is interest, a follow up session on more advanced topics covering PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel can be held the following week; time and presenter to be announced.
The Curriculum-Instruction-Assessment series basically answers the question: "How can subject matter experts become better teachers?"
Topics will include writing objectives, creating assessments, questioning techniques, etc.
The series is presented by R. Craig Collins, normally monthly on Thursday from 2:00-3:15 in WTC room 522 or 502.
Afterward there is an "open lab" and Q&A time until 4:00 where anyone can come by to get help with computer and software issues, or curriculum issues.
The Catch up series, is for people who can't make the Collins Thursday sessions.
Topics are drawn from Technology Training, Office training, and Curriculum-Instruction-Assessment training sessions.
